Let's open a SPACE
to talk about TRAUMA
AND HOW YOU CAN RECONNECT WITH YOUR SELF IN YOUR CURRENT LIFE
Hi and Welcome !
I am Pia Granjon,
psychotherapist
working with women
and young people
living with
Trauma,
Complex Trauma
Developmental Trauma
The word
T R A U M A
comes from the Greek word
πληγή
that means
W O U N D
We can work together with all types of trauma
Trauma can be
. Acute or a Single Event
. Chronic as in PTSD
[Post Traumatic Stress Disorder]
. Complex
. Developmental
Symptoms will vary
depending on the type of trauma
CHRONIC TRAUMA
When Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD] symptoms remain after 3 months
COMPLEX TRAUMA
Complex Trauma describes both
exposure to multiple traumatic events
often as an invasive,
interpersonal nature
And
The wide ranging, long term impact of this exposure
Adulthood or Childhood
ACUTE or SINGLE TRAUMA
The developped symptoms will naturally resolve within 3 months.
About 70% of us
have been through this
About 20% will develop PTSD
DEVELOPMENTAL TRAUMA
Refers to the impact of early, repeated trauma and loss which happens within the child’s important developmental phases of their life.
Usually early in life.
Unborn babies can suffer trauma to their developing mind and body when they are in the womb

We are working in Collaboration, we are together on this path
Working with someone in the aftermath of one or several traumatic event/s requires from the therapist to Be with you with a real Conscious Presence and Awareness of what is communicated both Verbally and Non-Verbally
We are working in the Here and Now whilst we may need, at times, to process past events.
We will be connecting with Imagination, as it is a real Asset in Therapy
The traumatic event is not what left the deeper imprint in you
But the fact that there was no one to Witness what you have been through
THE MODALITIES I CAN OFFER
The majority of people who have been through traumatic events
will not developp Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Among trauma the impact of the following are rarely known or recognised,
• Neglect on children:
More often than not, the children's needs are not met
• Moral injuries:
. When you act or when you are the witness of something that you find morally reprehensible
. When there is an unequal distribution of appropriate moral accountability.
You may want to check the work of Jack Saul on moral injury
